references and silhouettes

As Gordon's is an English gin, I decided to look into animals associated with London, the first thing that came to mind was rats, especially since when Gin first came about it was associated with poor, drunks. But Gordon's is a more classy gin and therefore rats would not be appropriate. Instead I looked into the British coat of arms and considered looking at lions, as they are seen as 'royal' and Gordon's has a reputation with the Royal family for saving the King from a boar.

so I did some silhouettes

I then looked into doing pin up girls and asked my friends for permission to use some images as real life body types and then
gathered some pin up girls from the web.

 

aaaand here are some silhouettes I drew up on Photoshop and dragged into Illustrator to image trace

to tidy up the lines and reduce pixels.
